"Le Dîner de cons" and Anne Roumanoff on stage at the Francis Palmero Theatre in Menton

Who hasn't seen the cult play "Le Dîner de cons", by Francis Veber? Of course, Jacques Villeret remains unbeatable in his role as François Pignon... But that's without knowing the talent of Anthony Joubert (singer, actor, discovered in the M6 show "La France a un incroyable talent"), who brings his personal touch and gives this legendary character a little more naivety, in a production that surprises the audience without distorting either the play or the text!
With his Marseille troupe, he offers a very funny version, more corrosive at times and with a Pagnolesque twist to this story.
A quick reminder: every Wednesday, Pierre Brochant and his friends organize a dinner party for idiots. The principle is simple: each participant brings an idiot, and the one whose guest stands out the most is declared the winner.
This Friday evening, Pierre is happy, he thinks he has found the rare pearl: François Pignon, accountant at the Ministry of Finance, passionate about matchstick models.
But what he doesn't know is that Pignon, ready to do anything to help out, is a real bad luck bearer and a master in the art of triggering disasters...
The meeting of two destinies that should never have crossed...
Anne Roumanoff: Portrait of an Experienced WomanThe comedian, who has been making French audiences laugh for over thirty years, brilliantly paints a portrait of our times that is as funny as it is lucid in his latest show entitled "L'expérience de la vie".
From self-help books to romantic relationships, social media, and international news, Anne Roumanoff observes her contemporaries with finesse and jubilation.
Embodying a gallery of characters, this experienced woman delivers a text of very beautiful writing, intelligent and biting, to laugh at everything that scares us... A show deconstructed by an experienced woman who... dreams of rebuilding herself.
"The Dinner Game": Friday, October 31, at 8:30 p.m.; Anne Roumanoff: Saturday, February 21, at 8:30 p.m.
Nice Matin
